Our project took place in Oceanside at Camp Fire USA, a Non-profit that provides after school programs for K-12 by helping with homework, reading, English, field trips, and more.
We helped with Construction/Carpentry, Fix-it, Irrigation, Landscape, Painting, Pavement & Concrete, Plumbing. It was good, hard, dirty...and yes, fun, work.

Summer & Fall 2008 Catch Up Blog
September was a crazy month that just flew by.
In fact, Sara's first week went a little like this...MONDAY
(Disclaimer: I had nothing to do with the choice of host...and I apologize if you watched the show this year)
TUESDAY-THURSDAYFRIDAY - SUNDAY
And the week following that...
The 60th Annual Emmy Awards at the brand new Nokia Theater in Downtown Los Angeles.
It’s all very exciting and glamorous…

Seeing Old Friends …and Fellow Pepperdine Alumni

Talking to some of the people I actually like and (*gasp*) respect, in the business.
That was all great and everything…but what you don’t see is the fabulous behind the scenes moments…

Killing LOTS AND LOTS of downtime with no computer access.

Being forced to drive down major L.A. streets in a NOT-Street-Legal golf carts, because another bomb threat came in and security locked everything down.
That, and not having bathroom access for 12 hours because the Port-o-Potties were locked. Not to mention I’m not touching that water with a 90-ft pole.
Good Times!
