Bernardo Mountain (1,145')

Small Mountain, great view.
This was a quick after-work hike with Nathan and Dad to check off one of the San Diego 100 peaks.  I can't believe that I've never been to the top, given how much mountian-biking and hiking I've done around Lake Hodges over the years.  Well, I can finally say it's been checked off now.  And I am now 12% done with the San Diego 100!
Here's a link to our path.  We started near the "old peoples' home" on West Bernardo Drive, rather than the traditional trailhead on the north side of the lake.  This gave us a chance to walk over the pedestrian bridge and avoid the smell of dead things under the freeway bridge.  Gross.   Anyway, for a panoramic view from the top, click here.
