Yes, it's been some time since we've updated this blog, but we have a few good excuses.

Starting back in February, things have been a bit busy. Check it out...

 

We put an offer on a house

 

 

 

Sara Left for 3 weeks to shoot "Saddle Up" in Cave Creek, AZ

 

Ben took Sara out to AZ, did some sightseeing....then flew home.

 

 

Sara stayed with the film crew at the beautiful AZ mansion.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sara's parents came to Arizona for a Valentine's Weekend visit.

 

 

Sara came home for the weekend to see Ben & the Tour of California (bike race with Lance Armstrong and Levi Leipheimer)

Right in good ol' Rancho Bernardo.

and we waited to find out about the offer on the house....

Ben came to Arizona to bring Sara home.

 

but not without having some AWESOME strawberry shortcake -

oh, and cleaning the 100s of grasshoppers off the windshield first.

 

We Hung out with Family

and we waited to find out about the offer on the house.... 

 

 

 

Ben rode his bike 100 miles around Solvang while we cheered him on (and had breakfast).

(not to mention the training it took to get him ready)

 

  

 

We got the house!

 

But only after signing enough paperwork to develop carpal tunnel, and giving away A LOT of money.

 

 

Then after several mishaps that postponed things further, and a brief scare due to Cesar Chavez Day (don't ask),
we got into the house and were proud homeowners as of March 30th, 2009.

 

So, we had to start working on the house immediately (with only 9 days to pack, clean, paint and move)

It took a lot of help from family and friends - THANK YOU ALL!!!!

Sara Celebrated her 30th Birthday with Family.

Sara left for a few weeks to work on "Saddle Up: Season 2" in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Ben celebrated Mother's Day with the Huntley's at the Red Bull Airshow (Sara was in Iowa)

 

 

 

Sara battled for her life at the MTV movie awards, keeping screaming teenagers from reaching the "Twilight" actors. 

 

 

And shared some golf cart adventures with Melanie in the Universal Studios backlot.

Ben did a major repair job on Sara's Car

 

We (finally) bought some new furniture for people to sit on when they visit.

 

Went camping with friends up at William Heise...

and took a trip to the candy store in Julian too.

 

Sara Enjoyed the San Diego Co. Fair with her mom.

 

We remodeled the closet in Sara's Office

(with some help from her dad, little sister, Mark and Chunk)

 

And we just enjoyed some time hanging out together.

 

 

It was a good spring!
