We wanted to squeeze it all in today, so we started with snorkeling, of course!
The weather cooperated today, so we had the most beautiful snorkeling trip, ever. The fish seemed happier, the sunbeams brightened up all the colors, the water felt like a warm bath...really, you couldn't ask for more.
It turns out that Sara is part mermaid...
I hope they aren't checking the boat for leaks!
We set up camp in our favorite beach chairs. There's hundreds of chairs on this beach, but these two are OURS!
We watched the locals...
...and since it was getting a little warm, we made a trip to the other best seat in the house.
Luxury. I has it.
SUP! Is that a spotted eagle ray? Why yes, it is. So, we naturally herded it into the swimming area where we gave a half-dozen swimming grandmas heart attacks. Here is some video of the early part of the chase...We tried to take photos of the ray from our boards, but it was pretty dicey. This is the best we got.
The photographer from the resort found us just as we were returning to shore.
Hot tub! hot Hot HOT!!
Back at the beach, we hunted micro-starfish, and met a charming Scottish couple (in the picture below) who had just arrived. I quote... "Marrrgo! Are ya gonna coover yer bits when yer talking to th'lady?" Sara was "th'lady" in question. The response was yelled (How else? They're Scottish!) across the water... "I em coover'n m'bits!" Ah, my people...not known for decorum and manners, I guess.
Sunset came too soon!
Paradise...we has it.
A little later, we got a sneak peek at the Christmas lights before dinner.
And THAT is about all the fun we can stand for one day! Not bad, eh?
Good night!
